Here is our privacy policy at Negotiation Beyond Conflict.
Our intention is to treat everybody with respect. I also assume you're searching our website for information, advice, products or services about how to resolve conflict more effectively and want to help you. I am actually trying to provide the best possible services to you.
To do so, I need to know whether the information appeals to you and our other Visitors, and why it does. (Or does not.)
To measure this, we use a cookie that collects anonymous traffic data, which tells me such things as which country you live in, the pages you visit, how long you spend reading the page, which page you go to next, and from which page you leave our site.
I keep on saying "you", when in reality I mean the thousands of Visitors to our website. While I care about you as an individual human being, from an analysis point of view, I'm looking at you as a set of numbers. There, I've said it now. Awful, isn't it?
The little bits of information we gather from Visitors on a daily basis helps me to find patterns and trends about their surfing habits on our website, but does not allow us to see any personally identifiable information. This enables me to provide relevant, contemporary material and persuade them to click through to certain pages. For example, if you're seeking a one-hour session on how to resolve conflict for your next conference, and wanted something that's fast, funny and full of content, you should click on our "3 Little Pigs" webpage. Then hopefully you'll watch a 60-second video from a recent performance. Now if that appeals to you, I'd also like you to click on the 3 Little Pigs eBook, too, because it's the perfect companion to the show. And then, you send me an email telling me you'd like to book our show, or buy the eBook or raise something related to PIGS!...
Do Visitors click from one page to the other like I've outlined? I don't know. Yet. But I'm hoping to find out.
I'm interested in giving our Visitors the information they want, respecting their privacy, and designing and tweaking our website to make it a better experience for all future Visitors. Exactly who sees the data? Well, I do. And SiteBuildIt (our wonderful hosting company) has access to it. Google, of course. And, if you buy our products or services online, PayPal. And that's it.
In conclusion, I assure you that any information you give us when surfing our webpages, or when requesting a response (for example through our Contact Us page), or when purchasing our products and services, is treated confidentially and with respect.
